How to determine what you pay.
I have three pricing tiers available for each of my services. Below is a detailed description of who each tier is for. Thank you to Alexis J. Cunningfolk and Leo Aquino for these frameworks.
I will never ask you to “prove” why you need to pay a lower price.
Tier 1: Full Price
This rate is for you if two or more of the following statements apply to you:
I am comfortably able to meet my own and my family’s basic needs (food, shelter, transportation, school)
My family and I own my home/property OR I rent a higher-end property
I and my caregiving team are employed and do not need to exert extra effort or work more hours to meet our family’s needs
We have regular access to healthcare
We have access to financial savings
We have an expendable income
We can always buy new items
We can afford an annual vacation or take time off
Tier 3:
This rate is for you if two or more of the following statements apply to you:
I frequently stress about meeting my own and my family’s basic needs and do not always achieve them
We have debt and it sometimes prohibits me from meeting our basic needs
We rent lower end properties or have unstable housing
We do not have access to a car and/or have limited access to a car but are not always able to afford gas
We are unemployed or underemployed
We qualify for government assistance including food stamps and healthcare
We do not have access to savings
We have no or very limited expendable income
We rarely buy new items because we are unable to afford them
We cannot afford a vacation or have the ability to take time off without financial burden
Tier 2:
This rate is for you if two or more of the following statements apply to you:
I may stress about mine and my family’s basic needs but still regularly achieve them (food, shelter, transportation, school)
My caregiving team and I have some debt but it does not prohibit the attainment of basic needs
We are employed
We have access to healthcare
We might have access to financial savings or have some expendable income
We are able to buy some new items and thrift others
We can take a vacation annually or every few years without financial burden
Scholarships & Payment Plans
I can always offer payment plans for your sessions. If you would like to request a payment plan, please let me know and we can discuss further options.
I have a limited number of reduced-fee and full scholarship slots available. These slots are reserved for families who would not otherwise be able to access my services and who navigate financial instability on a daily basis while caring for their family. If you would like to discuss reduced-fee or full scholarship options, please reach out to me directly.
Pay-it-forward Fund
If you and your family are easily able to afford my full rate and are interested in supporting other families in receiving my services, I accept pay-it-forward rates. Any amount above my per-session fee that you donate goes into the Pay-it-forward fund which supplements session costs for folks on reduced-fee or full scholarship rates. This fund allows me to accept more clients on reduced-fee/scholarship and ensure that all families who need services are receiving them.
Interested in contributing to the fund? Chat with me at our next session!
